Business Development: Growth in 2009
Dallas, Texas, February 10, 2010 – Last year proved to be another stretch of growth for Encompass, as we added 3 branches by way of acquisition.
The year began with the purchase of Perfect Choice Homecare in Palestine, TX. For those of you who aren’t familiar, that’s pronounced “Palesteen.” The Palestine branch, now doing business as “Encompass Home Health of East Texas”, is administered by Brandy Slate who also serves as the Director of Nursing there. Our patient census in Palestine has more than doubled in the last 10 months, reaching 140 in February 2010.
Hello Colorado! The beautiful town of Colorado Springs, CO was the site of our next acquisition in April 2009. Family Home Health became Encompass’ maiden voyage into the state. Now doing business as “Encompass Home Health of Colorado”, the 280 patient branch is administered by Jim Ver Meer, and Sheri Martinez serves as the Director of Nursing. Chuck Churchill is the branch’s Division Manager of Sales and Marketing. His team consists of 4 salespersons reaching out to a growing local market.
June 2009 marked another opportunity for expansion into the Southeast Texas market. Encompass acquired St. Christopher’s Home Health in Jasper, TX, giving us the opportunity to serve more patients beyond the northern reach of our Beaumont location. Our Jasper location is administered by Deanna Courts, and Cynthia Hensarling is the Director of Nursing.
